It is our pleasure to welcome you to the website of St Brigid's N.S. Crossbridge. We hope you enjoy exploring our site. We aim to provide a broad balanced educational experience within a caring environment whilst promoting a positive and holistic approach to learning.

About us

Our school was originally built in 1952, after the old school burned down. It was extended in 1995 when a G.P. Room was added. In 2015, we built 3 new classrooms, and we renovated the old building to provide a new Special Education Room, Staff Canteen and Offices.

We are a small rural Catholic school with three mainstream class teachers and one shared Special Education Teacher (S.E.T). Our pupils travel to us by car from a three to four mile radius of the surrounding rural areas. We cater for girls and boys from the local area, from the ages of four to thirteen years of age. Each child's educational, personal, emotional and social development is our priority. The building of each child's self esteem is of prime importance to us. Our school ethos is built on consideration, respect and tolerance of others.

We aim to maintain a safe and happy environment for all, where a positive atmosphere of encouragement and praise will be experienced by all.

“Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí.”
